Joseline Loculan passed away on September 4, 2021, Seattle, WA, aged 74 at UW Medicine - Northwest Hospital.
Josie was born in Manila, Philippines on May 31, 1947 to Carlos (Papa) and Socorro (Mama) Loculan. She graduated from Gregorio Perfecto High School and attended Philippine College of Commerce (now Polytechnic University) where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. She later earned a nursing degree after moving to Seattle and spent majority of her life passionately caring for the sick and elderly and eventually retired.
She enjoyed traveling especially back to her birthplace to visit and spend time with family and friends. Known for her unwavering faith in God, she spent a lot of time praying and rarely missed Sunday mass.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, strength, and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her children, Bernadette Theis (Mick Theis), Roy Belen (Anne Marie Belen), and Roel Belen (Joanne-Lyn Rodrigo Belen). Loving "JLola" to grandchildren Tanner Theis, Parker Theis, Elsa Belen, Ronin Belen, and Zoie-Lyn Rodrigo Belen. Sister of Carolina Yutuc, Florinda Sotelo, and Chito Loculan. Aunt (Tita Joy) to Benedicto Yutuc (Carl and Dylan), Angelica Yutuc, and Meldrin Sotelo (Amiya and Adelle). She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing which will be held in Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98133 on Sept. 28 from 12-4 pm, Sept. 29 from 4-8 pm, and Funeral on Sept. 30 at 11 am followed by the Burial at 1 pm. A reception will follow after service.
