Jerry Lee Pellum was born on June 5, 1958 in Seattle, Washington. He was the youngest son of Joe Pellum Sr. and Cora Smith.
Jerry graduated from Garfield High School and played tuba for the Garfield 100. He also played trumpet. He went on to pursue post-secondary training in culinary arts and also attended Seattle Central College.
Jerry loved sports, especially basketball – his favorite NBA team – The Warriors, dancing, socializing and music. He was a lover of people and had a special place in his heart for children. Jerry also enjoyed landscaping and worked as chef at restaurants across the Pacific Northwest.
Jerry Pellum was preceded in death by his father, Joe Pellum Sr.
He is survived by his mother Cora Smith, his brothers: Joe Pellum Jr., Rickie Pellum Sr., and Darren Wright, his sister Loretta Turner (Carlton) and nieces and nephews: Joe Pellum III, Elizabeth Pellum, Rickie Pellum Jr., Rasheen Pellum, Christina Turner and Cathleen Turner; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
