I'm extremely saddened to hear of Bowie's passing. His friendship had a huge impact on my life. We had a great time playing classical guitar together, going to shows and hanging out at the Admiral Theater where I worked. Here we are chilling with the kitty and listening to some King Crimson. Listening to music with Bowie are some of my fondest memories. Already miss him.

Bowie will always hold a special place in my heart. He really showed up for me in some key moments while we were in school together. I am sure he blessed many others in similar ways. My best to all of his loved ones. 

Here is Bowie, enjoying a perfect summer afternoon at Blanca Lake.  Bowie was a great friend, and my favorite hiking partner.  We had many, very special adventures together.  He was one of the most sensitive, compassionate, intelligent, creative people I have ever known.  And a brilliant bassist!  This hurts a lot, I will miss him greatly.     Sending much love to everyone affected by his passing.  

Bowie was always someone that would make my day better at work. From his non-judgmental way of helping tech challenged attorneys to a simple smile and wave in a pass through the hallway, he was a breath of fresh air at our law firm.  He was forever calm in a crisis, wildly good at his job, but more importantly, he would always take a moment regardless of how busy he was, to say hi and smile and was always so kind to me and others. I feel so thankful to have gotten to work with Bowie over the years and greatly miss him.  I am sending healing love to his family, friends, and those closest to him and hope you know the enormous impact he had on his work family.   

I am beyond saddened.  Bowie has had a profoundly positive impact on my life. He was my first high school friend and we played in a band together. He taught me how to drive a stick, cool guitar tricks, and most importantly the beauty of genuine friendship and the ability to overcome obstacles that a friendship can sometimes bring. I will forever cherish my memories of him.  His kind and gentle soul will be missed. 

I was so sad to hear of Bowie's passing.  We were co-workers at Davis Wright Tremaine for years, so we crossed paths often.  He always had a smile and a friendly word and kindly guarded my lunch for me while I was in yoga class!  He will be sorely missed!  R.I.P. Bowie!

Bowie and I were in a band together over 20 years ago. It’s been so long since I’ve seen or spoken to him. When I found out he had passed away I tried to think about why I never made more of an effort to keep in contact with him.  Life tends to take people on different paths  out of nowhere. He was a big part of my life for years and then the band went our separate ways. 
Bowie was such an amazing and talented human. I have many fond memories of creating and playing music with him I will cherish. Condolences to his family and friends. 

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Bowie. It was a delight to work with Bowie. He helped immigration and AILA group set up conference rooms when needed and showed his work in a professional and patient way. He will be missed. May peace and comfort be with his family and friends.

I’ve known Bowie for years but it was the last few I felt like we were on a friend journey that would last for many years. One thing I loved about Bowie was his ability to be present with animals - from the cats he adopted because they were in need to my own dog Lola. His band practiced weekly at my house, and Lola was always thrilled to see her friend. She would run down the sidewalk to greet him. Bowie was a great outdoorsman who hiked way wilder hikes than I could ever do. I’m not the best hiker but Bowie would always swim with me in wild places - places that his bandmates were too scared to get in the water. I feel so sad to have lost what I thought was going to be a friendship that lasted many years in the future, but am so grateful to have known him for the times we had together. Bowie was a great musician, and a kind and wonderful person all around. My thoughts are with all who knew him better than I did, especially his long-time girlfriend  Naomi and his bandmates, especially Jared Nelson and Dave Webb. The last week the community that came together to share in this loss has felt strangely beautiful. The waves of grief have hit all of us so hard, but there was something wonderful about sharing in the loss of this incredible man. We are all blessed and lucky to have known him in our own small way.  Love your people, stand with your community, Bowie would have wanted that, and also, that’s the best take away any of us could have. “ WHY IS THE measure of love loss?

I am deeply saddened by Bowie's passing and extend my most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. I was fortunate to work with Bowie and am among his many colleagues who will miss him dearly. He was unflappable, kind, and a creative problem solver. He possessed a rare combination of professionalism and cool. He will be greatly missed and treasured in our memories. 

I am very thankful for the opportunities I had to work with Bowie. He was always so helpful and present, especially in stressful situations. Bowie was a delight to work with, and I hope his memory remains a blessing for everyone who knows him.

I was so sorry to hear about Bowie's passing. It was my great pleasure to have had a chance to work with him at DWT. He was consistently upbeat and helpful, solving several of my AV needs for presentations seamlessly on short notice. We will miss him. To his family, you have my deepest condolences. My deepest condolences from the bottom of my heart to your family. I had the honor or working with Bowie for 4.5 years in the Seattle office. In addition to being an expert at solving many people's problems with a stellar level of professionalism, Bowie was a thoughtful, compassionate, witty, and kind colleague. Bowie's memory is cherished by all who knew him.

I worked with Bowie at DWT.  He performed at least one minor miracle for me when I was new to the firm and fumbling about for solutions to a tricky problem, and was consistently kind, patient, and unflappable.  He will be sorely missed.

I was Bowie's colleague at Davis Wright and am so sad he has left us.  Bowie was extremely competent and diligent in his work.  He seemed always to know how to solve any problem or to answer any question.  He also was fun just to chat with or to play ping pong with late on a slow day in the office.  What an amazingly cool and decent person we have lost.  

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I worked with Bowie a good deal this past spring and he was always so kind, positive, sincere, and helpful. Words fail at times like this, but please know that he was cared for and appreciated by those who worked with him and that he is greatly missed.

I had the pleasure of being Bowie's colleague at DWT.   He was always extremely helpful, gracious, and accommodating of my (extreme) lack of technical knowledge.  No matter what, he was always willing to help any attorney out in a pinch.  I so appreciated his positive attitude.  He is greatly missed.
