Betty Juanita Betz

Betty was a graduate of the University of Washington. She taught music in the Seattle School District for 42 years. Always active in her profession and community, she was a member of Pi Lambda Theta and Delta Kappa Gamma. Betty was also a very involved member of the University Temple United Methodist Church in Seattle until 2006. At that time, she moved to an assisted living facility in Monroe where she could be closer to her family.

Betty especially enjoyed traveling, Hawaii was one of her favorite destinations for many years. She also had a tremendous love of music and enjoyed season tickets to the Seattle Opera and Seattle Symphony. Spending time with her family and friends was a very high priority throughout Betty’s life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Stowe, and brother-in-law Fran Morse.

Betty is survived by her sister Mary Morse, brother-in-law Ken Stowe, nieces and their spouses Kris Gallagher (Bruce), Becky Westerman (Greg), Jennifer Anderson (Jay), Carol Hummel (Bruce), nephew John Stowe, great niece Rachel Anderson, great nephews Eric Anderson and Alex Gallagher, and great great nephew Wesley Gallagher. In addition she is survived by more extended family and many wonderful friends.
