Christine accepted Christ at an early age in Tulsa. She attended Tulsa Public School District and graduated from Booker T. Washington High in 1947, she attended Monterey Peninsula College and received an AA Degree in Business Administration.
She met and married Charlie L. Carr to this union three children were born, Darryl, Brenda and Charlie Jr. She met and married Victor L. Ellis to this union one child was born, Vickie L. She met and married Sgt. Solomon Terry (Retired).
Then upon moving to Seaside, she was employed as a Finance Officer Procurement at Fort Ord, CA. until she retired. She was also employed at Del Monte Car Wash for 10 years. Chris was a member of the Eastern Star, Local Chapter of the NAACP of Seaside CA. She was awarded a trophy of Serendipity in 2002. She attended Ocean View Baptist Church, under the leadership of her Esteem Uncle Rev. G. E. Ellis. Chris was dedicated in her service as Pres. of the Women’s Missionary at Ocean View Baptist Church. She was Church Clerk of Sunday School. She served as Vice President of Monterey Bay Baptist District Association Women’s Auxiliary for many years under the Leadership of Moderator Pastor G.E. Hooks and Pastor Raymond Martin Jr., she served as a Trustee Board Member of the Del Monte Manor now known as Hamilton Ellis Martin Manor Low Income Housing, she was supportive of all the Presidents and especially Sister Alma Tate in her term as President. She was active in the California State Baptist Convention. Chris loved serving and praising the Lord.
Proceeding in her death was her late husband Soloman Terry, her parents Earnest and Verna Mosley and two sisters, Cleady Phillips and Velma Brown and brothers Ernest Jr. an Claython Mosley and sister- in-Law Dorothy Mosley. Three children, Darryl (Poochie/Rashad), Brenda, and Charlie (Butch) Carr and her niece Doris Paige.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter Vickie Ellis-Kidd (Rick), sister Donna Mosley of San Jose, three grandchildren Tammy Phillips of San Francisco, CA. Jasmine Edmond-Carr of Philadelphia , and Terrell Barksdale of Arizona, and six great-grandchildren; Jasmine , Jockee, Jaquisha, Aubrey, Tiana, and Benjamin, four great-great grandchildren. Seven nieces Shon, Natalie, Vontrese, Sharon, Valerie, Yolanda and Angela. Three Nephews; Reggie, Michael and Daurice and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
