Zelma Frances Floyd, age 87, entered into rest on November 17, 2024 in Seagoville, Texas. She entered into life on May 19, 1937 in Dallas, Texas, to Ollie and Novie Floyd. Zelma was raised in Kleberg, Texas.
In her spare time Zelma enjoyed watching television. As a child she loved listening to Stella Dallas on the radio, and as she grew she gained a love for Soap Operas - she was a fan of all of them! She also enjoyed holidays and spending time with her beloved family.
She grew up in the Kleberg Church of Christ before becoming part of the Seagoville Church of Christ family until her passing.
Her family and friends will always remember her as the glue that held the family together. Her excitement on seeing you no matter who it was given to everyone, but the men of the family were her favorite.
Zelma is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Novie Floyd; her sister, Delores Boren; brothers, Alfred Floyd and Ray Floyd; Brother-in-laws, Bill Boren, Bo Goodson, Edward Sexton, and Bobby Shepherd; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Floyd.
She is survived by her sisters, Evie Goodson, Dessie Sexton, and Gloria Shepherd.
Zelma was a resident of Seago Manor for over 23 years. The family would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of Zelma for so many years. Thank you!
A visitation for Zelma will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Seagoville Church of Christ, 510 N Kaufman Street, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 510 M Kaufman Street, Seagoville, TX 75159. A committal service will occur Friday, November 22, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Kleberg Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
