William Michael Basquette passed away at his home in Terrell, Texas on October 4, 2018. He was born in Austin, Texas on August 17, 1936 to Charles and Lucile Basquette. William is proceeded in death by his parents; his brother Charles Basquette and his mother-in-law Josephine Haley.
Left with cherished memories is his loving and devoted wife of nearly 53 years, Linda; his son Stephen Basquette and Nicole; his daughter Stephani Cox and husband Shane; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dale and Frances Haley; grandchildren Jordan Birdwell, Kyle Raymond, Colton Basquette and Cayson Basquette; great grandchildren Laramie, Ronnie and Shelton Birdwell, Kynslee Martin, soon to arrive Olivia Jane Basquette and numerous nieces, nephews and other family loved ones and beloved friends.
William graduated in 1954 from Troup High School, Troup, Texas. He also graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. William faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was very patriotic and proud to be an American. He was equally proud of his family especially his grandchildren. He never missed an activity or event. He would even attend daily practice session just to watch his grandchildren. He was loved very much and will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 10:00 am. to 2:00 pm. Monday October, 8 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. A celebration of Williams’s life will occur at 2:00 pm. Monday October 8, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where William will be laid to rest in Valley View Garden. Military Honors will be rendered.
