He is survived by his two children, Hayley Armitage (Lance Forston) of Red Oak, TX and Chase Armitage of Palmer, TX; one grandchild, Hunter Tawney; 2 sisters: Darla Westerman (Boyd) of Kaufman, TX and
Tammy Arnold of Kaufman, TX; brother, Jerry (Melinda) Armitage of Seagoville, TX; nephews: Brad Westerman and Cody Armitage; nieces: Nikki Lamphere, Ashley Armitage and Savannah Hayden; great nephews: Landyn Westerman, Trevor Lamphere, and Kellan (Dub) Armitage and great nieces: Everly Hayden and Braelyn Arnold.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Linda Sue Armitage.
Steven attended H. Grady Spruce High School. He worked as a mechanic and welder for a trade. He enjoyed dirt bike racing and fishing. He spent many years around the local dirt tracks and was well known in the racing community.
There was nothing he couldn't work on. He loved supporting all his nieces and nephews in anything they did. Especially supporting his great nephews in their dirt track and go cart racing. He was very loved and will be very missed by his family and all that knew him.
Please join us for the Memorial Service in his honor February 28, 2021 from 1:-5:pm at the Warsaw Community Center, 6500 S. FM 148 Kaufman, TX 75142. There will be refreshments served.
