Steve Gerald Reeder

Steve is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Carol Reeder; daughter Lisa Dawn Starns; brother Jimmie Joe Hughes; granddaughter Samantha Starns and granddaughter Jennifer Starnes Fowler.

Steve was preceded in death by; father Stephen Taylor Reeder and mother Kathleen Reeder; brother Walter Benton Reeder; grandfather Walter Benton Reeder, grandmother Nancy Caroline Reeder, grandfather Stanley Curb, and grandmother Lillian Storey.

Steve honorably dedicated 24 years of faithful service to our nation serving in the United States Air Force. He reached the high rank of Master Sergeant and earned multiple awards and metals. His metals include: Air Force Commendation Medal with1 oak leaf cluster; A.F. Outstanding Unit Award with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters; Combat Readiness Medal; A.F. Good Conduct Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Army Good Conduct Metal; National Defense Service Metal with 1 Bronze Star; Vietnam Service Metal; A.F. Longevity Service Award with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters; USAF NCO Professional Military Education graduate Ribbon and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.

After leaving the Air Force, Steve dedicated another 17 years of his life to the United States as a defense contractor.

A memorial service for Steve will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A cremation will occur.
