Born on October 28, 1949, Steve was a cherished member of his community and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Stephen spent over 25 years as a dedicated electrician before owning and operating his own HVAC company. His professional life was marked by hard work and a reputation for reliability and skill.
A man of faith, Steve was an active member of the Church of Christ, where he formed many lifelong friendships and contributed to the community.
Stephen's hobbies included football, riding motorcycles, fishing, and riding his tractor. Known for his ability to fix just about anything, he was often the first person his friends and family would call when in need.
He is survived by his sister, Julaine Bell; daughters, Amy Williams and Jennifer Pilcher; and his grandchildren, Pierce Pilcher and Addison Williams.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Fortner; and his loving wife for nearly 50 years, Linda Fortner. He will be deeply missed…
A memorial celebration of life for Stephen will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
