Sharon Jane Johnson

Sharon Jane Johnson of Combine, Texas passed away on July 13th, 2022. She will always be remembered as a loving grandmother and upstanding member of her community to all that were blessed enough to know her. She was born on August 9th, 1943 in Kemp, Texas to her wonderful parents Roland Berry Godwin and Helen Grebe.

Jane was a long-time resident of Combine. She made generous donations to the volunteer fire department and Pleasant Grove cemetery. She was a loving grandmother to her surviving granddaughter, Chelcee Johnson. She was married to Charles Johnson until his death in 2006. They spent a blissful 41 years together and are reunited in death. Jane spent her days watching local wildlife while listening to her collection of Elvis records. She also loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Alexis and Carson Aultman. Jane had a lucky streak, often frequenting casinos when she could. We hope she will be remembered fondly by her colleagues at Gifford Hill, later Hanson Sand and Gravel, where she worked for 30+ years.

Jane is survived by granddaughter Chelcee Johnson of Combine, Texas; Grandson-in-Law Josh Aultman of Combine, Texas; Great-Grandson Carson Aultman of Combine, Texas; Great-Granddaughter Alexis Aultman of Combine, Texas and many other family members and beloved friends. She was sadly preceded in death by her Mother, Helen Grebe; her Father, Roland Berry Godwin; Her Son, Timothy Charles Johnson; Her Husband Charles Johnson; Her Daughter-in-Law Tracy Renee Johnson; and many others sadly missed.

The visitation will be held Friday, July 29th from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Roselawn funeral home. She will be put to eternal rest via cremation and interred at Shiloh Cemetery in Kemp, Texas.
