Phyllis June Rice was born in Harper County Oklahoma on June 3, 1925 to Glen Dean and Leona Redding. She passed away in Dallas, Texas on March 16, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee Rice, brother Robert and sisters Jackie & Georgia. Phyllis is survived by her son Ken Rice and wife Pam; granddaughter Shedara Pinson & husband Curtis; great grandson A.J. McKinney; great-great granddaughter Brianna Warren and other nieces, nephews and other family loved ones. Phyllis was a registered nurse whose career spanned nearly 60 years. She was very dedicated to all of her patients and her job as a registered nurse. Over her career she was able to witness many major medical changes and events including the first heart transplant in Dallas, Texas at St. Paul Hospital. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6-8pm Monday March 20, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas. A graveside funeral service will be 10:00 Tuesday March 21, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, Texas where Phyllis will be laid to rest beside her loving husband Lee in the Garden of Memories.
