Margaret "Peggy" Loux

Margaret "Peggy" Loux, 93, of Terrell, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and a cherished friend to all who knew her. Born on October 27, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Peggy was the daughter of Irish immigrants Edward and Mary Clancy.

Peggy attended school in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, though her education was cut short to help at home during the hardships of World War II and the Great Depression. On August 20, 1951, she married Robert Lynn Loux, a sergeant in the U.S. Army. Peggy held various jobs throughout her life, including as a Nurse’s Aide, cabinet shop sander, and parts stamper at LTV in Grand Prairie, Texas, where she worked for 25 years.

In her free time, Peggy enjoyed fishing, bowling, and taking naps. She also liked to travel, read, listen to classic country music, and watch old western films. She found joy in watching the hummingbirds and deer near her home.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lynn McGaha (Carl) of Terrell, TX; son, Robert Lynn Loux Jr. of West Tawakoni, TX; son, Dennis Loux (Kathy) of Allen, TX; granddaughter, Katie McGaha of Austin, TX; and grandsons, James, Aaron, and Steven Loux of Allen, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, ten siblings, and her husband of 47 years, Robert Lynn Loux Sr.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
