

Dan was a huge collector of "Cranberry Crystal glass and plate-ware”. He was also a 3rd degree Freemason in the Garland Masonic Lodge. Dan attended Abundant Life Church in Garland for 35 years. His love in life was spending time with his family. Vacations together with his family were a huge event that he looked forward to. He made a point in attending all the sporting events that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved in. He was also very passionate about his Seagoville Dragons alumni and friends. He loved his friends.
Dan is survived by his daughter Tammy Orene Nix Charles (David Charles); his son Carey Dan Nix (Sherry Nix); his son Jeremy Chad Nix (Ashley Nix); and his daughter Kimberly Mae Nix Anderson (Glenn Anderson); his granddaughter Sandy Charles Inman (Nick Inman), his granddaughter Candace Charles Kramer (Greg Kramer), his granddaughter Courtney Lutonsky Munguia (Cris Munguia Jr.), his grandson Rody Perez, his grandson Aaron Perez, his granddaughter Kassie Nix, his grandaughter Maddie Nix, his grandson Hudson Nix, his great-granddaughter Kylie Mahady, his great-granddaughter Alexis Lutonsky, his great-granddaughter Morgan Inman, his great-granddaughter Peyton Inman, his great-grandson Liam Kramer, his great-granddaughter Kennedy Kramer and his great-grandson Luca James Perez. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his father B.I. Nix and his mother Mattie Mae (Hall) Nix; his sister Janelle Nix Geddie.
A visitation for Dan will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home.
