Gloria worked for many years as a cosmetologist before becoming a Professor at Riverside City College in Riverside, CA where she taught Cosmetology & pre-med courses to nursing school students. She was a magnificent & talented lady who after retiring from teaching pursued her love of traveling, crafting and being an artist. Gloria had an impressive collection of hats that she designed & crafted from scratch. She also had over 500 dolls that she designed, sewed, & glued their magnificent costumes. She also displayed a Christmas Tree year-round with Victorian decorations that she hand crafted. Gloria liked watching TV & going out to eat, especially to Tea Rooms around the area. Gloria was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Crandall, TX for many years. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society of Seagoville & the Mad Hatters’ organization.
A memorial service will be held in Gloria’s honor on June 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church in Crandall, TX. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the SPCA of Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr. Dallas, TX 75212 or www.spca.org.
