Emma Lene (Emma) Cry Kimmons received her long-awaited Homegoing on May 8, 2017. She died of natural causes surrounded by her loving family and in very capable care of VITAS Hospice. A funeral service will be held May 12, 2017, 10:00 am at Robinwood Baptist Church, followed by graveside services at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, both in Seagoville, TX. Emma was born June 17, 1919 in Ola, TX, Kaufman County. She grew up in Killeen and Kaufman, TX. Emma graduated from Peeltown High School and was an active long-time member of Robinwood Baptist Church. Emma was married to Jack Cry and Everette Kimmons. She worked at Sears in Dallas and the Dallas ISD. Passionate hobbies included following the Dallas Cowboys (Tony Romo), gardening, sewing and activities (karaoke) at Seagoville Senior Center. Her greatest joy came from care and nurturing of her family. She is survived by her children Sandra Smith, (Vernon) of Seagoville, TX, David Cry (Eva) of Sahuarita, AZ, Siblings Ladis Barr (Linda) of Waxahachie, TX, and Burk Barr (Jo) of Dallas, TX. Grandchildren included Kristi Tomlinson (Clayton) of Justin, Tx, Kelli Keller (Bo) of Wylie, TX, Alicia Underwood (Mikie) of Texarkana, TX, Greg Cry, Clint Cry (Amy) of Madison, WI, Natasha McNiff (Chris) of Cypress, TX and Niki Ward (Michael) of Jasper, GA. Great grandchildren include Tyler Yarbrough, Austin Tomlinson, Emma Croley, Jaymes Underwood, Chandler Cox and Carter Cry. Great- great grandchildren include Easton Collins, Grayson Ward, Kennadi Barnwell and Reagan McNiff. Emma is preceded in death by her parents George Barr and Beulah Miller, sister Martha Anne Goen and brother James Barr.
