Bill grew up in the south Dallas area and graduated from Rylie High School. At 16, he started working for the Dallas Cowboys when they began in the Cotton Bowl back in 1960. He held this job until 1995 mainly because he loved being able to take different friends and family members to games each year and allowing them to share in the experience. He was also a hardworking, hands-on concrete contractor for 35 years in a family business that dated back to 1889.
Bill was a loving family man who took joy in being involved with his 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He was always at one of their events, teaching them how to do something, or helping them with issues. He hardly ever met a stranger and loved talking to people and bringing people together
Bill was preceded in death by His parents John and Billie Klein, brothers Buddy Klein and Dickie Klein, sister Jerry Alsobrook, and many beloved Aunts and Uncles.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Lynne Klein; son, Jeff Klein; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Klein and Don Simmons; Maxine Klein; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Morgan and Saad Alaskery; grandsons, Michael Klein, Nathan Weed, Jaden Weed; granddaughters, Alyssa Klein and Brooklyn Klein; two great-grandsons, Caleb and Ashton Klein, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
