Wayne was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 18, 1937. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and went on to serve for the United States Air Force. This was followed by a distinguished career in satellite communications, notably with GTE Sylvania, Fairchild Data and Intellicom.
He married his beloved Hélène E. Berry on June 14, 1986 in Tempe, Arizona.
Wayne had a passion for everything electronic, loved boating, waterskiing and his Schnauzers.
He is survived by his wife Hélène, his children Susan Beer, Steve Berry (Leah), Michelle Hill (Dimitry) and Steve Elkin (Cynthia). He is also survived by his grandchildren Addison and Isaac, Walker and Grace, Alexandra and Derek. His brother Leroy, nieces Lisa and Luann Berry and spouses will have fond memories of Wayne.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held Saturday February 24th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, at 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale AZ 85257
