Noah Levia first appeared onstage in kindergarten in Lake Wales, Florida. He starred as a chocolate pudding. Later in life, having earned his Masters Degree and taught drama in high school and in college, he liked to say it was playing the chocolate pudding that got him hooked. As a child he also participated in the Lake Wales Passion Play. First as a shepherd, and later on as the blind man Jesus healed.
He played many roles in many venues, but his most iconic character, was Santa Claus. It all started when he approached a department store manager and offered to be their Santa if they would furnish the suit, and a trip to a salon to bleach his red hair and full beard. He agreed, and Noah's first appearance as the Christmas character ensued. He went on to portray Santa for the rest of his life.
Noah also became the living logo for Captain D's seafood restaurants, traveling to 28 states, performing in school assemblies, riding in the Captain D car in parades, and telling sea stories at every performance.
With his wife, Vashti Ataya, he co-wrote and self published, "Memories - a Chronicle of a Grateful life," and the five books in the "Overcoming" series.
Noah retired from Bax Global freight company. He was also a college professor and a high school teacher.
He is survived by his son, Jonah, and his wife, Vashti Ataya.
