Mary Ann Johnston

Mary Ann Johnston was born on March 2, 1932 to Harold and Kathryn Dwyer in Phoenix, Arizona. She passed away at the age of 84 early in the morning on July 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Johnston to whom she was married to for 44 years. Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Paul Dwyer (Patricia) and three children Kathleen S. Cothrun (John), Cindy A. Johnston (Les) and Kenneth M. Johnston (Mary). She was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, Denise Garcia (Gabe), Heather Cravener (Mike), Greg Gaiser (Vanessa), Michelle Merillat (Bob), Kelli Dosil (Kyle), John Cothrun (Delores), and Thomas R. Cothrun. She had 12 great grandchildren, Jasmine Garcia, Lauren Garcia, Julian Garcia, Bradley Cravener, Owen Cravener, Eric Cravener, Lilly Gaiser, Mason Merillat, Maeleigh Merillat, Abby Dosil, Ben Dosil and Baby Dosil, due in January.

Mary Ann was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother to her entire family and will be missed by all who knew her. She cherished her friends and the many co-workers she had from her 37 years with Mountain Bell, now known as CenturyLink in the Accounting Department and 10 years with Pella Windows and Doors. Services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery, 401 N Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ on July 23rd, 2016. A funeral service will be begin at 11:00am followed by a reception/luncheon in the Green Acres Events Room.
