She graduated from Carter Riverside High School and attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic College in Fort Worth, Texas. She married James C. Lankford in Palo Pinto County, Texas. Marguerite worked for many years in Pre-Kindergarten education for Los Arcos Methodist Church in Scottsdale, Arizona where she was a member. Marguerite also volunteered at the Scottsdale Public Library for over 30 years. She had a passion for singing and performed with the R&G Singers and her church choir.
Marguerite is survived by her sons, Phillip (Diane) Lankford, Alan (Laura) Lankford, and Louis Lankford; her grandchildren, David Lankford, Jessica McCurdy, Melissa Evans, Jason Villanueva, John Villanueva, and Jaclyn Bryant; great grandchildren, Jaxson Villanueva, Jude Villanueva, Easton Villanueva, Lillian McCurdy, James McCurdy, and Callahan Evans.
