John “Jack” Belaski, 79, of Englewood FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, AZ on Tuesday, December 10, 2024
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, son of the late John Paul and Helen (Zaluski) Belaski, he graduated from Scranton High School in 1962. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army 25th Infantry Division.
He started his career at Procter & Gamble in Mehoopany, PA in 1967 and continued his career with the consumer products company for over 32 years until his retirement in 2000. He had the opportunity to work for P&G in multiple locations including Cincinnati, OH and Guangzhou, China.
He is survived by two sons, Bob and wife Carrie, Scottsdale, AZ; John and wife Noelle, Carrollton, GA; and a daughter, Kristin Belaski, Taylor, PA. His five grandchildren, Beckham, Brooke, Alex, Sam and Max. His sister Joan Vitkauskas and husband John, Lakeland, FL; three brothers, Raymond, Dickson City, PA; Vincent and wife Wendy, South Abington Twp., PA; and David and wife, Cindy, Myrtle Beach, SC; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jack was an avid softball player and an accomplished golfer. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children in Northeastern PA. “Happy Jack” had a sunny and optimistic personality and was always looking for a new adventure.
A memorial service in honor of Jack will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at Green Acres mortuary in Scottdale, AZ. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service from 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 East Shea Boulevard, Scottsdale, Arizona 85250.
