Jodi Lyn Slater

She attended school in Manteca, California and graduated from Sierra Joint Union High School. Her family later moved to Arizona where Jodi met Neal in Scottsdale on March 1, 1983 and married exactly 2 years later on March 1, 1985.

Jodi worked as an insurance claims adjuster for Scottsdale Insurance for 13 years. She also worked for Prudential Insurance for 9 years before joining Scottsdale Insurance. Before her career in insurance, Jodi's love for the theater helped her land a part in an off-Broadway production in New York where she was awarded "best comedienne" for her role. Jodi enjoyed reading, going to antique stores and garage sales, completing crossword puzzles, but she had a great passion for cheering on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

She is survived by her husband, Neal Slater; her son, Edward (Rob) Johnson; and her grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Eli; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jodi is preceded in death by her parents and her brother.

A celebration of life for Jodi will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257.
