Janet C. Hom

Our dear mother, Janet Hom, age 78, of Scottsdale, Arizona sadly passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. Janet was born July 3, 1944. She was a truly beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

Janet passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She was a wonderful mother and was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Scottsdale, Arizona. Janet had a full life and developed close relationships with everyone she met. She was involved with the Society For the Arts (SFA), Network Club in Tucson, and spent a lot time dining and dancing at the American Legion in Scottsdale. She connected with people through her love of Mah Jong and was an avid traveler who met many on her adventures.

She was predeceased by her husband Howard Hom, her parents Alice and Paul Kong, and brother John Kong; survived by her children, William (Maisie) Hom of Orinda, California; Helen (Ken) Sakaue of Placentia, California; Howard (Beverly) Hom of Gilbert, Arizona; sister Julie (Tom) Moopenn, brother Henry (Eva) Kong, and sister Judy (Steve) Mar; six grandchildren, Michael, Kara, Charlie, Katie, Chloe, and Noelle; and close friend Howard Calvert of Scottsdale, Arizona.

A visitation for Janet will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 401 North Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257. A graveside service will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257.
