"George Edward Borst, 94, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away August 23, 2022. George and his brother, Bill, were born and raised in Salina, Kansas. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1949 to 1953, in Kodiak, Alaska, where he received electronics training. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State College of Agriculture and Applied Science in 1954. He worked for Motorola in Phoenix and Scottsdale. He is predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Betty Jane Porter Borst, and granddaughter Rachael Taylor, and survived by his 5 children, Beth Borst, Cathy Janssen (Bill), June Watson (Chris), John Borst (Brigid), and Jim Borst (Gini), 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Borst has been cremated and interment of his ashes will occur during a private family ceremony. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice or White Rose Hospice."
