Esther Flynn

Esther was born December 5th, 1953 in Winnipeg, Canada to Pat and Ginger Resnick. She met her husband Pat while attending ASU, as she pursued her teaching degree. After graduating, she went on to work in Special Education, a field which she deeply loved. In January of 1979, Pat and Esther were married, and went on to have 2 children, Matthew and Andrea Flynn. In order to focus on family, Esther’s career turned to in-home childcare, which she ran for nearly 20 years.

Esther enjoyed spending time with her family, talking and catching up with friends, and helping others. She had a huge heart and was always very generous. Esther was proud and involved in both of her children’s lives. She loved watching her grandson Owen grow up. From sleepovers to silly FaceTime videos, her favorite thing in the world was being a Nana. With her daughter Andrea, she loved helping her decorate her house. She loved all her DIY projects and would always talk to her about what her next idea was. Her husband Pat was the love of her life. They met at a 7-Eleven while in college, and were married for 42 years.

Esther is survived by her beloved husband Pat Flynn, of Gilbert, AZ; daughter, Andrea Flynn; son, Matthew Flynn, his wife Bobbi Jo, and grandson Owen.

Although our lives will never be the same, Esther would want us to be at peace and send her off with love. As she always said… Till we meet again!

A funeral service will be held in Esther’s honor, on Monday, January 10th 2022 at 11:00 AM at Green Acres Mortuary. Immediately following, a graveside service will be held at Green Acres Cemetery Garden. In lieu of flowers, please, send donations to Hospice of the Valley and/or Arizona Humane Society.
