

In the early morning hours of December 12, 2020, Donald A. Douthitt’s kind heart beat for the final time on earth. A man who loved the Lord, chose Proverbs 3:5,6 for his life verse, an eternal optimist, finally after 92 years, met Jesus face to face. His faith has become sight.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6
Born October 6, 1928 and raised in the mining towns of Arizona, Don received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa. He then enlisted and served in the Army from 1951-1953. After marrying his first love, Ruth Oralee Byrn, and welcoming their three daughters, he graduated from Denver Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in Missions. For the next twenty years, he was a bi-vocational pastor and pharmacist. Following the death of Ruth in 1997, he married Rosemarie Farrington who survives Don, along with his three daughters: Suzanne, with her daughters, Hannah and Sarah (Rob) and grandchildren James, Ryan, Lacy, Brendan and Kaylie; Elaine (Bill) with their children Kyle (Leigha), Amy (Michael), Brian (Jana), Mark (Samantha) and grandchildren Benjamin, Norah, Abigail, Timothy, Jacob, William, Emmaline, Maxson, Oakley, Porter and August; Janna with children Jennifer, Christopher and Leah and grandchildren Kairi, Trowa and Heaven.
