Born on July 18, 1942, Ann lived a vibrant and full life, marked by her relentless energy and adventurous spirit. She explored the world extensively, visiting countries such as Japan, Thailand, Australia, Italy, and Turkey, always planning her next journey.
Ann’s faith in Christ was evident through out her life. She wanted everyone to know Jesus and that he loved them. Her faith was taught to her by her parents, as her father was a presbyterian minister, and she longed to pass her love for Jesus down to future generations.
Ann loved the beach, often seen with a boogie board, ready to embrace the waves. Her competitive nature shone through in her passion for bridge and canasta, and she was a dedicated fan of game shows and the Baltimore Ravens. Ann's charisma was undeniable, making friends easily wherever she went and possessing a knack for sales that was unmatched.
Professionally, Ann served as the Dean of Women at the University of Iowa, a Sales Representative for Merck, and the Director of Youth Education at St. Matthew’s Methodist Church. Her career was as diverse as her interests, reflecting her dynamic personality and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Education played a significant role in Ann's life. She graduated from Watervliet High School and furthered her education at Syracuse University and Princeton Seminary.
Ann's family was her pride and joy, and she gave everything she had to give to support them. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Waldersen; her son, Brian Waldersen; and her daughter, Christine Gregorchuk, who has two children of her own. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Helen Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Green Acres Mortuary & Cemetery in Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ann can be made to the Myelodysplastic Syndromes Foundation, supporting research and treatment of the disease.
Ann Waldersen's legacy is one of joy, adventure, and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
