Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10:30 am at St Agnes Catholic Church. A rosary will be at 10:00 am at church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be Monday, from 4-6:00 pm at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with A Celebration of Life at 6pm. Fond memories and condolences may be left at www.dugankramer.com.
She was born in Scottsbluff, NE on June 26th 1956 to Arthur Benzel and Marjorie (Cyr) Benzel. She graduated from Sunflower High School in 1974. She was a dedicated mother, daughter, sibling and friend. She spent her life giving to and loving everyone around her. Anyone who knew Deb, knew Deb for her fierce loyalty, constant love, and her lollipops. She helped so many of us during our darkest moments, constantly gave of herself to everyone around her. She always put everyone else first, especially her kids.
After raising her children, she went back to school to pursue a dream to help others. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center followed by her Master’s Degree in Nursing. She spent her life in Scottsbluff and Gering doing what she did best, taking care of others.
Preceded in death by her Father Arthur Benzel and Bother-in law Michael Rohrick.
Survived by her mother Marjorie Benzel, her Brother Stephen Benzel (Kellie Benzel), her sisters Donna Keisel (Bill Keisel), and Cindy Hansen (Bill Hansen). Her Children Jaime Moore (Ian Parker) of Colorado Springs, Matthew Moore (Shannon Moore) of Redding California, Amanda Clayton (Tyler Clayton) of Colorado Springs. Her grandchildren, Summit Clayton, McKinley Clayton, Sarene Moore, Zaddek Moore, Willow Clayton, Daisy Clayton. As well as several nieces and nephews.
