Betty married the love of her life, John Kehm, and together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with two daughters, Jan Learned and Janae Hubka, and two grandsons, Joel Hubka and Cody Learned.
Growing up on a farm, Betty displayed remarkable dedication and selflessness, leaving school at a young age to support her family. Her love for cooking led her to work in the public school cafeteria, where she brought warmth and care to countless students. At home, she delighted her family with her homemade meals, which were as nourishing as they were delicious.
Betty found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a special fondness for flowers, babies, and owls, each holding a unique place in her heart. Her kindness, selflessness, and warm spirit will be cherished forever by her family and friends.
A funeral service to honor Betty’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home, located at 3201 Ave. B, Scottsbluff, NE. Following the service, Betty will be laid to rest at the cemetery in Bayard, Nebraska.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Betty’s memory to a local charity of your choice or simply plant a flower in her honor. Betty’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Rest in peace, Betty. You were deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
