Stacey Erin (Cross) Hugues – 46, of Scituate passed away on April 10, 2023. Stacey lived a full and productive life in far too short a time. Above all else, she loved her family and the time spent with them.
A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she shared 16+ years of marriage with William (Bowie) Hugues. She is the proud mother of Hannah (15), Liam (13), Jack (11), and Chase (8). Born at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, she is the daughter of Stephen and Susan Cross of Greensboro, Georgia and daughter-in-law of William and Catherine Hugues of Bridgeville, Delaware. Stacey is the loving sister of Scott Cross of Oakland Township, Michigan and his wife, Rosemary, and aunt of their son, Rutherford (2). She is also the loving sister-in law of Jeff and Lauren Hugues of Cedar Grove, New Jersey; aunt of their children Georgia and Thomas; as well as a sister-in-law of Corey Hugues of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.
A 1998 alumnae of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Stacey received a B.S. in nutrition and later earned an MBA from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She cared for many children as a registered dietician in the neonatal intensive care units in several hospitals, most recently at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She also led nutrition teams working as a clinical nutrition manager for hospitals in Arizona, New Jersey, and New York. In her “spare time,” she led an international network of over 50 sales consultants and earned many honors as a top performing representative of Rodan+Fields. Until recently, she was also a nutritional consultant for a web app providing nutrition services to individuals and businesses. Locally, she is a much-loved yoga and Pilates instructor practicing across the South Shore; an avid supporter and video publicist for Norwell Farms; as well as an active member of the garden club, the South Shore YMCA tennis team, a book club, a knitting circle, and many other groups too numerous to mention. Through these activities and managing the schedules of her children, she cultivated a large network of friends whose support she greatly appreciated as she battled cancer the past few years. In all that she did and accomplished, her joy was always rooted in her family.
Her family feels her presence and knows they will one day be reunited. They would welcome your pictures and stories about how Stacey impacted your life, and they can be sent to [email protected].
