Neil W. Harrington

Neil, of Scituate formerly of Arlington beloved son of the late Margaret & Cornelius Harrington, cherished brother to Jack (Jennette) & Jeanne Harrington. Special uncle to Ed (Barbara) Murphy & John Harrington and beloved great uncle to Vivian & Wes Murphy. Neil’s presence was also treasured by his cousins, Rosemary Ford, Nancy Collins and Laurie Kelly.

Neil's life was marked by achievements and passions. As a Vietnam Veteran, he displayed immense bravery and dedication to his country. Neil's love for skiing was unparalleled, and he found solace and joy on the slopes. New Hampshire held a special place in his heart, as did the serene beaches of Scituate, where he often found peace in long walks.

Neil's commitment to helping others with sobriety was unwavering. A graduate of Boston College, he supported those in need. Neil worked diligently as an employee of Verizon and retired after 35 years.

We want to thank the management and staff at Bridges by EPOCH at Hingham for their love and care for Neil over the past two- and one-half years. Neil's absence will be deeply felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His memory will be forever cherished.

A visitation will be held on Sunday October 8, 2023 from 11am-1pm followed by a funeral home service at 1pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate MA.
