Lyon, Nancy- 69, of Wildwood, Florida passed away Thursday December 30th after a courageous yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the beloved wife of retired East Providence teacher, Jim Lyon. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marion Jackson of Warwick. Nancy was a nurse at Kent County Hospital in Warwick for many years. In 2004 she moved to Florida where she worked as an operating room nurse at the Villages Hospital and later, at Santa Fe Surgery Center. Nancy was a particularly kind and caring person. In return, everybody liked Nancy. Her main hobbies were caring for her beautiful home and traveling with her husband, Jim. She absolutely loved her family and visited them often, no matter where they were living. Besides her husband Jim, she leaves a son, Keith of Palm Harbor, Florida, his wife Julie and granddaughter Ivy. She also leaves daughter Jamie of Scituate, Massachusetts, her husband James and grandsons, Grady and Cullen. Nancy was a warm wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends she made both in Rhode Island and Florida. A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later time to be announced.
