HESS, Kathleen Ann (Hyland)- Age 74, of Scituate, MA, formerly of Braintree, MA, passed away in her beloved home surrounded by her family on February 28, 2024. She was the loving wife of Charles “Chuck” Hess. Cherished mother to Rohn Hess of Cincinnati, OH and Kati Brigham of Scituate, MA. Beloved grandmother of Patrick, Dylan, RJ, Layla and Brooke. Born on September 27, 1949, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Hyland. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Joanie, Roberta, Patricia, Marie and the late Thomas and Donald.
Kathy (“Nana”) loved being a homemaker, making sure everyone was fed with her fabulous cooking. She was happiest when she was tending to her garden and spending time with her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 3pm-7pm at Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Road, Scituate. A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 1 Kent St., Scituate.
