ROSA, Jair “Já” Fragoso – 46, of Avon, formerly of Brockton passed away on the evening of April 8, 2021 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Jessica (Rampersad) Rosa, with whom he shared over 15 years of marriage.
Born in Praia, Cabo Verde Islands, he was the son of Maria Lenore Fragoso and the late Guilherme Rosa. He moved to the United States at the age of 15. He graduated from Brockton High School and went on to complete automotive technical training. Through hard work and dedication, he started his own business, Absolute Protection. He enjoyed his work of installing window tint and paint protection services.
Já will be remembered as a kind, friendly, considerate and generous man. He was always willing to help others. He was a faithful Catholic; Já wore his Saint Anthony pendant proudly. He had a passion for automobiles and aviation. He was taking lessons to one day achieve his dream of flying his own plane. Já’s smile would light-up a room. His unique and energetic personality brought joy to all that were around him. Já loved dancing and all types of music, especially Cape Verdean, Indian and Reggae music. Já loved seafood, especially lobster and crabs. He loved to share his music and he would often text music links for others to enjoy.
Já was the devoted father to his daughter, Gianna Rosa, 14 years old and his 10 years old son Jason Rosa. They were his pride and joy. He loved spending time with his family. His spontaneous nature would bring happiness to all. Já once turned an ordinary beach day into an extraordinary event with the unexpected purchase of kayaks. He once made a surprise dinner delivery of 100 tacos to his children, nieces and nephews. This was one of countless random acts of kindness and love, which will always be remembered.

He was a cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Best friend and cousin to Paul and Shelly Penti.
