Chris had a distinguished career as an executive assistant at both Citizens Bank and Global Partners. She was also an active member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Hingham, and was a Scituate Food Pantry volunteer, who was instrumental in developing and organizing the present food pantry. Chris had a passion for reading, rowing, gardening, and above all, her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, their five children and their spouses: Kristin & Scott Parker, Jon & Rain Michaels, Lauren & Richard Abraham, Pat & Ellen Michaels, and Erin & Zach Orth; and thirteen grandchildren: Emily, Andrew, Ben, Makayla, Garrett, Abby, Anthony, Nico, Dani, Annalee, Lachlan, Briana, and Henry. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses: Kim & Hollis Thiel, and Ken & Lisa Meslo.
Chris was a ray of sunshine, a woman of honor, an incredible wife, mother and grandmother, a generous friend and wonderful neighbor.
The family would like to thank the caring doctors, nurses, and staff of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at South Shore Hospital, as well as South Shore VNA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her memory to the Scituate Public Library or NVNA & Hospice.
A celebration of life will take place at House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Hingham on May 13, 2023, at 10:30am.
