Alan Paul Cassidy

Longtime Scituate resident, Alan Cassidy, passed away in Englewood Florida after a brave battle with pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer. Raised in Milton MA, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy Cassidy.

Alan was a beloved husband of the late Caroline A Cassidy and devoted father of Meghan T. Cassidy and her husband Bryan Peterson of Scituate and Michael A. Cassidy and his wife Marysel of East Boston. Cherished grandfather of Riley and Sofia. Loving brother of Janet and her husband Wilbur Wood of Bedford, Gail and her husband Robert Gallagher of Norwell, and the late Jack Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Alan spent his professional life as a hardworking plumber, but those who knew him saw him as a family man and all-around great guy. Always willing to help a neighbor and friend, he was loved by all that had the privilege to know him. Most recently, Alan cherished days spent at his part time home in Englewood, Florida which he shared with his dear friend Margaret Delaney.

Due to COVID-19 a Celebration of Alan’s Life will be scheduled at a later date.
