Joyce I. Marderness Chadwick

Joyce I. Chadwick, 85, formerly of Richland, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in the Masonic Villages, Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late John R. Chadwick. She was born in Richland on September 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Davilla and Ida nee Reedy Kantner Marderness. Joyce was a retired rural carrier for the US Postal Service, a graduate of Richland High School and a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church, Newmanstown. She is survived by sons, John D. Chadwick and wife Leslie A. of Lebanon, James D. Chadwick and wife Megan J. of Brownstown; grandchildren, Jon E. Chadwick and wife Jennifer of Mt. Holly Springs; Lauren R. Chadwick-Sonnen and husband of Keith of Sarasota, FL; Tyler D. Chadwick of Los Angeles, CA; Kaitlyn M. Chadwick of Brownstown; great grandchildren, Sophia Chadwick, Olivia Chadwick, Isabella Chadwick, John Maxwell Chadwick and Quinn Sonnen; sister, Betty Gibble of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence Marderness, Jonathan Marderness, Raymond Marderness, Aldus Reedy and Carl Kantner; sisters, Irene Heck, Dorothy Albert, Bertha Kalbach, Cora Hartman, Mildred Reigel and Violet Weinhold. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Clauser Funeral Home, 116 N. Carpenter St., Schaefferstown, PA with a viewing beginning on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment will be made in Millbach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Millcreek Lutheran Church, 221 N.
