Joann V Derr

JoAnn V. (Shay) Derr 96, of Newmanstown, passed away in Stone Ridge Towne Center on Monday, August 12, 2024. Born July 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ralph H. and Edith (Blecker) Shay. She was the wife of Israel H. Derr Jr. who predeceased her in 2005. JoAnn graduated as valedictorian from Richland High School Class of 1946. For 28 years she was employed at the Richland National Bank. She joined Grace United Church of Christ, where she was a choir member, Sunday School Teacher and Christian Endeavor leader and remained an Active Member. After her retirement, she became interested in genealogy and was a member of the Lebanon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonists, Lebanon County Historical Society and Isaac Meier Homestead Inc. Surviving are 4 children, Julian Weiant ( wife Debra), Ellen Buchanio ( husband Charles) , Kathleen Zidik ( husband Gregory) and Sandra Kissinger ( husband Weiman) seven grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. Two grandsons, Andrew Zidik and Shane Weiant preceded her in death.
