Beatrice M. Gibble, 98 of Lebanon, went home to be with Jesus, passing away November 19, 2024 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Warren R. Gibble who died June 19, 1974 after 27 years of marriage. Born December 15, 1925 in South Annville Township, Bea was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Hattie Crigler Moyer. A 1944 graduate of Annville High School, She also attended Lebanon Business College and was employed as a secretary by George Strohm, Jr., Inc. for over 12 years until her retirement. Prior to that she worked in an office at A.S. Kreider Shoe Factory in Annville until marriage, when she was involved in dairy farming with her late husband. Bea enjoyed reading, bird watching, eating out, exchanging emails and Facebook with family and friends, and her ladybug collection of which she had many on display in a special room in the basement of her home. She was also an avid Phillies baseball fan. At an early age, Bea became a member of the Annville Church of the Brethren and liking music, sang in the choir, a mixed octet and other musical groups of the church. After joining Midway Church in 1948 she was active in the Character Builders Sunday School class, the Women’s Fellowship, Single Sisters Group and the Tuesday morning Ladies Bible Study group where she served as secretary from 1996 until 2011. Currently she was a member of South Lebanon Community Church. Bea also belonged to the National AARP and the Sr. Center of Lebanon Valley, Inc. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling and played on several leagues, often serving as captain of her team. While living on the farm she was a member of Farm Women Group #1. Surviving is a daughter Norma J. Gibble, Lebanon with whom she lived, son LaVerne R. husband of Wendy Gibble, Neffsville and granddaughter Crystal wife of Paul Crater, Elizabethtown, a greatgrandson Skyler, as well as cousins from Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and Florida. Bea was preceded in death by a son Larry L. Gibble and a brother Ralph W. Moyer. Funeral services will be held Monday November 25, 2024 at 11:00am in South Lebanon Community Church, 13 Evergreen Rd., Lebanon, PA 17042 with a viewing from 9:30 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Midway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent for upkeep of playground equipment at the Larry L. Gibble memorial c/o Camp Swatara Family Camping 2905 Camp Swatara Rd., Bethel, PA 19507 and designate in Bea Gibble’s memory. Clauser Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
