Rowland Miller

Rowland was married to Mary-Carol Towe on April 30, 1960 at Saint Pius X Church in Scarsdale, New York.

He is survived by his children Michael (Christine), Tom, Peter (Annette), and John (Rebecca), grandchildren Kate Miller, Henry Miller, W. Rowland Miller III, and Alastair Miller, sister-in-law Joan Diament (Martin), niece Nancy Ford, nephews Greg Miller, Ken Miller, Fred Beraud, and Jeffrey Diament, as well as many other family and friends.

Rowland is preceded in death by his wife Mary-Carol and daughter Susan Jane.

He was born in Manhattan on February 27, 1933. Rowland graduated from Scarsdale High School, Wesleyan University, and Fordham Law School.

Rowland worked as an attorney for fifty six years mainly with his firm, Judy, Miller & O’Connor. He was a very active parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale – going to Mass nearly every day, lectoring for thirty years, and teaching CCD for many. Rowland was active in civic life, volunteering for many school and community activities. He enjoyed athletics, especially baseball, long walks, hound dogs, the Adirondacks, reading, and music (especially classical and traditional Irish).

After a funeral mass, he will be buried in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Boys Town.
