Gilbert Lee Epperson

Gilbert Lee Epperson was born in Adana, Turkey on March 14th 1962

He graduated from Edgemont Jr/Sr High School.

He worked as a telecom engineer for MCI, Alcatel/Lucent and DIRECTV in the Dallas-Fort Worth area before retiring in 2018.

He enjoyed racing motor cycles and restoring vintage muscle cars from the late 60’s and early 1970’s.

He was an active member of the racing and classic car community in Texas and was revered for his honesty and quality of work.

Gilbert is survived by: his Mother: Nermin Epperson Brothers: Remzi Epperson, George Lanny Epperson

and Sister: Julianne Epperson Arvizu

Nieces: Jocelyn Payton Epperson (Lanny) Savannah Grace Epperson (Lanny) Evan Arvizu (Julianne)

Nephews: Benjamin and William Arvizu (Julianne)

A visitation for Gilbert will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 824 Scarsdale Ave, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A graveside service will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Rd., Greenwich, CT 06830.
