In 2007, Nicole was hired by the Richmond Hill Public Library for a special assignment on our local history.  I have been thinking of our time together lately and planned to reconnect with her, so finding her obituary was an unbelievable shock, leaving me saddened that I had not been able to do so.  In honor of her memory, I would like to share a photograph that I feel captured her personality.  R.I.P.  Nicole.

Today we will lay Nicole to rest with her sister Susan and Dad John.  I want to thank all the family and friends who reached out to us with your love and precious memories. It means a lot.

Until six or seven years ago
Nicole was an unknown person
on a list of family names,
a plum on a branch
of the family tree.

When we came to Victoria
Pat said we should meet her.
