Nancy Jane Williams

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Nancy Williams on November 20, 2023 at Michael Garron Hospital. She was in her 73rd year; her final day and eventual passing was peaceful.

Nancy was predeceased by her cherished husband Ronald in June 2022 and missed him tremendously during her remaining days. They were married in 1969 and spent many happy years raising a family and travelling the world. Nancy was a loving mother to sons Scott and Grant (Joanne) and adored her grandchildren Claire, Abigail, Quinn and Ryan, David. Nancy also leaves behind a sister Lorraine who was able to say goodbye before her passing despite being estranged in recent years.

Thanks to the palliative care staff at Michael Garron Hospital for their professionalism and for ensuring Mom was comfortable in her final hours. The last few years were tough health wise for Mom. She battled hard though. While sad that she has left us, I am happy and grateful that her pain is gone and she can rest. We love you Mom.

As per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no immediate funeral service/reception. She has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honour to Diabetes Canada or the Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Canada would be welcomed by the family.
