Please accept my sincerest condolences for your tragic and sudden loss.  I am deeply saddened by Joe's passing and he will be missed.  Having read the other messages and looked at the wonderful photos I am happy that Joe was greatly loved by his family and friends.  I have worked with Joe since he started at Stonhard and have always looked forward to seeing him on projects.  His great sense of humor and jovial and uplifting presence made sometimes challenging situations more tenable and regular situations fun.

Yo Joe Joe

It’s been years since I last seen or spoke to him. He will always be without a doubt one of the funniest people I have ever met. There was never a dull moment when he was around.  He made work fun,  and made a job I despised better. Every day I would hear Joe back in the warehouse singing at the top of his lungs all the way up in my office at the front of the building.  

I never forgot him, I never will, and for the rest of my life I will think back on the memories and I will smile and laugh. 

My thoughts are with Dante and Belle, the entire Russo family, and with everyone who was lucky enough to have known Joe even if it was just for a short time.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Joe. He was not just a co-worker but a mentor who taught me so much when I first started. His kindness and wisdom made a lasting impact on me.

My goal was to keep us all as 1, I feel I failed. This is by far the greatest devastation of my life. Words cannot describe the pain and heartache I am feeling and that I will continue to feel for the remainder of my life.  You walked me down the isle, you were so genuinely happy for us, you were such a good soul.  I cannot imagine one occasion without you. You bent over backwards for me and wanted essentially nothing in return.  You were such a kind, good hearted man. The only way that I can be strong is thinking of the spiritual side of life knowing that I will once again see you and that you now have the honour  of meeting our previous guardian angel Antonio.  I cannot get your amazing side laugh out of my head.  I can’t even turn on a light in my house without thinking of you Joey.  I would of moved mountains for you. You have taken a piece of my soul.  My heart is with you. I pray to the good lord that I will once again be able to be happy.  I wish you knew that I would of done anything for you my beautiful brother. I loved you to death and I hope you knew that.  I pray you rest in peace with Antonio in heaven next to God. I love you Joe ❤️

My condolences to Joey’s friends and family. Joey and I went to junior high school together and I will always remember his friendly, welcoming smile and kind heartedness - a true ladies man. May you rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Joe on the Stonhard crew for about 5 years. He was the type of person that brightened up the entire room with nothing but his smile and his overly loud voice. Any day we would walk in to a job site and Joe was there, my mood was instantly increased from his positive energy. Joe was hands down one of the funniest guys i’ve ever met, there was never a dull moment with him and i’ll cherish those memories forever. I call myself lucky to be able to know him for the few years that i did, he was truly an amazing person. I know he’s up in heaven making everyone laugh now. To Joes family and loved ones, I am so sorry for your loss. He was one of a kind and had a positive impact on so many peoples lives.

He showed me great food and great comedy.
We went to go see Sebastian Maniscalco twice. Once in Ottawa and Windsor. Joe wasn’t much of a long drive kind of person. But to see his smile and hear his laughter. That is what I’m going to miss.

I still can't believe your departure, you were my friend in Canada, from the first day of working together he always treated me with kindness and taught me how to work. I'm going to miss the laughs in the truck and work together, brother. We exchanged tastes for food and you were already part of the Mexican family.
