On December 15, 2024, John Walter Furman passed away peacefully at the age of 73. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. John is survived by his beloved wife, Maryanne Furman, his two sons, John Furman and Jim Furman, and his grandson Hunter Furman.
A devoted officer with 44 years of distinguished service with the Toronto Police Service, John was deeply committed to his community and profession. In his free time, John was an avid outdoorsman often hunting and fishing. Some of his fondest memories were made at the hunting camp, surrounded by family and friends. Those who joined him will always cherish the laughter and stories shared, and the memories that made those times so special.
John will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
