Died peacefully on the morning of Sunday, December 4th at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife, Linda (née Jeffery); his children, Ian (Karen) and Emily (Matthew Bingle); his granddaughters, Alexandra Blakey and Autumn Bingle; and his sister, Mary Ezeard (née Blakey). He is predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth Boyd-Clark; and siblings Jim, Bill, Jean (Lance), and Harry.
John was born in Toronto on April 8, 1940, to Elizabeth Boyd-Clark. He grew up with his brothers and sisters in and around Toronto, served at St. Mary Magdalene Church, and later worked as a draughtsman, primarily for Moriyama and Teshima Architects, where he met Linda. They remained happily married for 44 years. John loved his family unconditionally, and in recent years became proud Papa to Alex and Autumn. In his final difficult months, the girls could always put a smile on his face. John will be remembered fondly for his genuine interest in people and the stories of where they came from, but also for his own ability to story-tell. He will be especially missed by his Fletcher Lake family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Michael’s Foundation in support of St. Michael’s Hospital and Providence Healthcare.
