It is with heavy hearts that the Kirkos family announce the passing of Ioannis “John” Kirkos on Monday, May 1, 2023 with his loving wife Evangelia by his side.
Ioannis was born August 16,1948 in Keli-Florina, Greece. He immigrated to Canada in 1972 and built a beautiful life in Toronto with his wife, Litsa (Evangelia) in which he shared 49 wonderful years with. Loving father of Stavroula and her husband George and Dimitra and her husband Kostis. Papou will be fondly remembered by Constantine, Evangelia, Johnny and Jonluca.
Ioannis will be remembered as a dedicated husband and father who lived for his family and whose generosity extended beyond, to his friends and community. He worked hard, earned a degree and opened Kirkos Appliance Services, again with his wife Evangelia by his side running the shop together. When you would see his white service truck turn the corner you knew it was Ioannis finishing another day of work. When it was finally time to retire he got to spend more time with his family and tinkering with all types of machines, he loved to take things apart and put them back together. He was one of the first people in his neighborhood to own an electric bike! He will always be young at heart and will be loved for eternity by those that were lucky enough to have known him. May he forever rest in peace.
