Joan Louise Haupt Holloway, 79, of Savannah, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her residence under the care of Odyssey Hospice. She was born in Savannah, Ga., and she attended Wright Oral School for the Hearing Impaired in New York, and also attended Pape School in Savannah, Ga. She had worked for Bill Haupt Gas Company as an Accountant for over 40 years, when she retired. She loved to sew, read, scrap booking, family genealogy, collecting porcelain Dolls, Teddy Bears, and old classic movies. She loved Billy Graham and Gospel Music.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years L. P. Holloway, her parents, William Haupt and Louise Dubois Haupt; and her sister, Joyce Moore.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Holloway, and James E. Holloway; daughter, Joan Carolyn Holloway McKenzie, all of Savannah, Ga; sister, Gail McCall, Athens, Ga; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406.
Funeral Services: 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with interment in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
