She was born in Alabama but lived in Savannah, Ga. most of her life and in West Jefferson for the last several years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple since 1949, a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, Betty Boatwright Circle of the WMU, and the Cradle Roll Ministry.
She was retired from the City of Savannah, where she served as Play Ground Director for the Avondale Playground.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard H. Peavy to whom she was married 43 years, and a brother, Herman Browning, and son in law, Bobby Allen.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Frances Jones (Billy) of Savannah, Ga., Nancy Arnsdorff (Bruce) of Savannah, GA. and Willene Allen of West Jefferson, N.C.; two brothers, Bill Browning (Jackie) and Harlan Browning (Elaine); one sister, Agnes Browning Fuchs; sister-in-law, Ethel Browning; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Dr. Charles G. Cooper, Sr. Officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
